AED

The Ontario Underwater Council has an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) that OUC scuba clubs can borrow for events such as dives, training sessions and community activities.

These vital, life-saving devices are important to have on hand — especially at group gatherings such as scuba diving events. Recognizing this need, OUC has purchased an AED that clubs can borrow, free of charge, for dive trips or community activities. …

AED stands for Automated External Defibrillator which is a portable device used to help someone whose heart has suddenly stopped beating. It is designed for ease of use, with clearly marked, step-by-step instructions, allowing even individuals without medical training to use it effectively.

Even if your club does not own an AED, you can protect your event participants by borrowing one from OUC.
OUC is proud to make this life-saving resource available to all member clubs.
