In the 70's

By 1969-70, the Association of Canadian Underwater Councils began to evolve into two distinctive components (i) a representative body directly representing all Councils and indirectly Canadian divers and industry; and (ii) a certifying body.

The government officially recognized the Council as the Provincial Sport Governing Body and indicated that all government contact and support to our sport would be through the O.U.C.
